Meet Our Team

Meet Carl!

Brand Ambassador at ARISTA

What do you like most about Arista?

– What I like most about Arista is the family atmosphere. Each employee truly cares for another in a way you just don’t see much anymore.

What Arista core value appeals to you the most? Why?

– Servant’s heart (we all should strive for this one).

What fruit are you in the team?

– I would probably be a raisin since I’m old and wrinkled.

What TEAM means to you?

– To me, team means everyone having a common goal and not allowing anything to get in the way of helping when needed.

If you were a flavor of ice cream, which would you be?

– I can’t be a flavor of ice cream. That would have negative impact on others, CALORIES!!! Vita would never allow that.

Meet Aaron!

Benefits Consultant at ARISTA

What do you like most about Arista?

– What I like most about Arista is the rich culture it possesses. I have seldom encountered such a unique conglomerate of individuals working towards a common goal.

What Arista core value appeals to you the most? Why?

– The servant’s heart appealed to me from day 1. In a world where many are seeking to serve themselves it is unique to see a company promote the service of others.

What fruit are you in the team?

– I am a watermelon. Large, well-rounded, juicy, and easy to share.

What TEAM means to you?

– Teams possess a lot of meaning. It primarily relates to synergy for me and the unique ability that is unexplainable where people working towards a common purpose can accomplish extraordinary feats.

If you could live anywhere on this planet and take everything that you love with you, where would you choose to live?

– Likely somewhere in Florida close to the beach but not right on it.

Meet Daniel!

Marketing Assistant at ARISTA

What do you like most about Arista?

– I love the team atmosphere at ARISTA. Having a team whose roles are clearly defined is something that truly sets this job apart from ones I’ve worked in the past. I understand fully what my important tasks are and how I fit into the overall team. To me, the clarity and cohesiveness of common goals is perhaps the most valuable part of my job.

What Arista core value appeals to you the most? Why?

– Authentic. What you see is what you get. I have never been one to fake anything, and generally if I try it is woefully unconvincing. I thrive in environments where I feel I can be open and honest about whatever is in front of me, and that environment is something Arista consistently delivers.

What fruit are you in the team?

– Well, I had never thought of this before, so I took a quiz! Buzzfeed has informed me that I am a cherry. “Cherries are the impossibly cool and good-looking fruit of the produce world. Effortlessly chic, good personality, not trying too hard, but BLAM, really making a statement”.

What TEAM means to you?

– To me, team means a cohesive unit, or a group that is greater than the sum of its parts. Everyone can’t be an expert at everything, and when a team is created that complements each other’s strengths, it creates a one of a kind environment.

Are you sunrise, daylight, twilight, or night? Please share why.

– I am TOTALLY night. When my schedule allows, I am 100% a night owl. I think being up late (or technically early) while everyone else has gone to bed is thrilling. Some of the best conversations I’ve ever had have been because a friend and I stayed up all night talking and looking out at the street lights, stars, or a campfire.

Meet Rebecca!

Senior Account Executive at ARISTA

What do you like most about Arista?

– I like the joyful feeling I get as I walk in the door and head to my desk each morning. I am greeted first by Susan, our Director of First Impressions. That is generally followed by a warm “Good Morning” from Vita and a “Good Morning Sunshine!” from Travis. This inspires me to do my best for my clients and my team.

What Arista core value appeals to you the most? Why?

– Inspirational is the core value that appeals to me most. Over the past year, I have discovered that I can inspire others with my journey. I learned this when my whole team was so supportive and even loving when I was going through tough times. I was often frightened and weak, but they cheered me on my journey. I hope to have many opportunities to return the favor.

What fruit are you in the team?

– I hope I am like a bowl of cherries. I come in both sweet and sour varieties. I am also versatile like cherries which are delicious in pie and also good to enjoy frozen at the beach. Click below to see 11 health benefits of cherries:

What TEAM means to you?

– To me team means different people with different unique gifts joyfully rowing in the same direction toward a common goal.

What was the most embarrassing moment in your life?

– My favorite childhood toy was my imaginary friend NeNe (Not to be confused with Real Housewife of Atlanta NeNe Leakes). NeNe traveled the world and had so many adventures. She taught me how to speak up for myself when I was afraid. I couldn’t always ask for what I needed, but I had the courage to ask for NeNe.

Meet David!

President at ARISTA

What do you like most about Arista?

– The heart of the people. We have been intentional about only inviting people into the organization who share our values and beliefs. The collective power of a team of people following their passions and gaining joy from serving others is unstoppable.

What Arista core value appeals to you the most? Why?

– Devoted. Every substantial creation, every meaningful contribution, every important change I have led in my life all started with being devoted to a specific mission. Love, concern, dedication and loyalty are powerful motivators when the road gets tough. Without laser focus on a specific mission or cause, a team can get distracted. The most well known demonstration of the power of devotion to a specific mission is a Navy SEAL Team. Can you stop them?

What fruit are you in the team?

– An apple. Healthy, traditional and useful with a strong core.

What TEAM means to you?

– A group of talented people thinking and acting individually accomplish almost nothing. But when a diverse group of people get together, collaborate, share, and suffer for a common cause, they can change things. Big things. “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead

What was the most embarrassing moment in your life?

– Presenting to a new prospective client in sweat pants and dress shoes. I was invited to present to a group of senior leaders in an organization. The timing of the meeting required me to get up very early in the morning and drive for several hours. The plan was to put my suit, belt and dress shoes in the back seat and make the long drive in a comfortable outfit of sweat pants and a sweat shirt. When I got to the meeting, I discovered I had only brought the dress shoes and left the suit and belt at home. I offered to reschedule so as not to offend anyone with my attire. They encouraged me to come on and meet as I was. Standing in front of that room in baggy sweat pants with wing tip shoes is a moment I will never forget!

Meet Vita!

Human Resource Coordinator at ARISTA

What do you like most about Arista?

– I am proud to work for the company where diversity is always welcomed. We are all so different, both culturally and linguistically. But we all aspire towards one Vision and Mission. That’s what I like the most about us.

What Arista core value appeals to you the most? Why?

– Devoted. Being devoted to something means being focused on one particular thing almost exclusively. When you are devoted to a cause, you work to achieve its goals. I love my job! I simply enjoy making the difference in people’s lives.

What fruit are you in the team?

– I would probably compare myself to a fruit salad. I just want it all! Most of the time, I am hard on the outside but soft on the inside, and sometimes squishy because I care about people. I feel things inwardly rather than outwardly.

What TEAM means to you?

– To be a team in my experience means to have common purpose for working together. A great team has no individual bigger than the team. I work equally well on my own and as a part of the team. Each and everyone at ARISTA is a part of the team because that’s the way we go!

If you could choose one vacation destination where would you go and why?

– Traveling is my passion. I was born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine. My husband is from Manisa, Turkey, and we both live in the States. I guess I have already picked my destination. 🙂 From the rocky mountains to sunny beaches, if you are anything like me, you want to go everywhere and explore as much of this country as possible. America is a country of countless opportunities. You just need to follow your heart and your dreams.

Meet Tiffany!

Manager of Client Services at ARISTA

What do you like most about Arista?

– The vision of our owners to develop a team of people that create a future in which financial security empowers all working people to discover and serve THEIR calling. Working with owners like ours you can’t help but be inspired everyday by their passion which drives you to work hard in order to ensure that their vision becomes a reality. I have had the benefit of working for various size companies throughout my career, Arista’s size allows for true collaboration across every division with team members and that every team member matters. If Arista is successful then we are naturally making the world a better place as we are empowering others to fulfill their calling in life.

What Arista core value appeals to you the most? Why?

– For me it is Servant’s Heart for several reasons:

  • We are in an industry where we are not selling a product but rather services that we believe our clients need in order to make them more empowered to fulfill their calling. We cannot successfully sell a service without wanting to go above and beyond for our clients and their employees.
  • Furthermore, I believe that with a Servant’s Heart other items fall into place. If someone truly believes in our vision and has a Servant’s Heart, they are going to naturally be Accountable and Devoted because they want to ensure that the client is served in the manner they deserve to be served in.  The individual’s nature will make them come across as Authentic and Inspirational to others.

I am thankful to be in a position where I have the privilege of managing a team that is devoted to serving others and ensuring that they have the knowledge, resources, etc. that they need to help impact the lives of others.

What fruit are you in the team?

– Perhaps because of my upbringing when I first heard this question I thought about scripture: Galatians 5:22-23, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness. The Bible mentions many examples of how to bear fruit by tending to it, believing in it, etc. for instance, John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” I believe my role at Arista as a leader is to ensure that our employees believe in Arista and our vision, for it is our company’s ability to tend to our vision that will make it flourish. Perhaps I am the gardener…

What TEAM means to you?

– As referenced in my faith and through being an athlete throughout my life, being a true TEAM is everything to me. Being a part of a team shapes who you are and what your team’s outcome will be. A true TEAM becomes more of a family as you are invested in your teammate’s personal and professional life. Finding a true TEAM of people leads to endless successes that is true in both personal and professional settings:

  • Core Values are absolute
  • Belief in a common purpose
  • Bend over backwards to accommodate the vision
  • Assist in maximizing other’s potential (a team is only as strong as its weakest member)
  • Responsibility to follow through
  • Desire to be better today than they were yesterday
  • Spending time and effort to help your teammates improve, grow, and achieve

If you were a flower which one would you be? Why?

– I was honored to grow up as the oldest child of my parents, Mike and Janice Cavin. This also meant that I would be a “preacher’s kid” my entire life, and throughout my childhood caused a number of moves due to my dad’s profession. My parents consistently taught me how to build valuable relationships in every place we went and creatively developed traditions. One of these traditions that I value is that every house we lived in we planted a “Tiffany Rose” and often times gave a “Tiffany Rose” to important people in my life, many times teachers. To this day I still have special people in my life like Cathy Denson who taught me in 2nd grade. Our relationship continued despite moves with sharing of images of the “Tiffany Rose” blooming each year and creating a relationship that truly stands the test of time. Thus, I would say “Tiffany Rose” not because of the flower itself but because of what it means to me. To me it serves a reminder to value relationships because God brings people into our lives for a reason.

Meet Ingrid!

Accounting Manager at ARISTA

What do you like most about Arista?

– The small, family-oriented atmosphere. The fact that we HELP people.

What Arista core value appeals to you the most? Why?

– Devoted. This is a personal core value of mine and once I’m committed to something, I’m in 110%. Otherwise, what’s the purpose in doing it?

What fruit are you in the team?

– I still don’t get this question, but I’m going to say grape. I’m not sure how the fruit relates to a team, but we grow grapes at home to make wine and jelly, so I picked Grape.

What TEAM means to you?

– TEAM means being accountable to each other. TEAM means working together to achieve a common goal. TEAM is about everyone pulling their weight to ‘win’ whatever it is we are striving to accomplish. TEAM is about accomplishing something together that you couldn’t accomplish alone.

If you woke up tomorrow as an animal, what animal would you choose and why?

– I am so NOT an animal person.  I can’t even pretend to want to be an animal.  Perhaps a teddy bear so that I can be cuddled and hugged by a child.

Meet Doug!

Retirement Plan Team Leader at ARISTA

What do you like most about Arista?

– The people. Arista feels like family. We all work very hard together and all for the benefit of our customers. Arista has worked hard to put together a great team of not just great performers, but great people. I enjoy the Arista family and look forward to new members as we continue to grow.

What Arista core value appeals to you the most? Why?

– A “servant’s heart” is important to me. Being humble and putting the needs of other’s first is a true sign of someone’s character and what motivates them from the inside. I’m also a big fan of “Authentic”. Arista seeks to be honest and up-front. We do what we say we will do and our customers know it because we deliver.

What fruit are you in the team?

– Watermelon – big with a hard shell, but sweet and soft on the inside. And a little messy to boot.

What TEAM means to you?

– Team means reliable and coordinated. Everyone working together for the same common good and all delivering their part in spectacular fashion. Our TEAM at Arista is an All-Star team  NO DOUBT.

Which time period would you visit in history and why?

– Living today we are so spoiled. I imagine visiting anything in the past would turn out to be a headache. The past has taught us so much of what NOT to do. But, it would be neat to visit ancient Egypt. Just to observe how the great pyramids were built and to see the marvels in engineering that still perplex us today.

Meet Heather!

Registered Paraplanner℠/Service Specialist at ARISTA

What do you like most about Arista?

– The team atmosphere and willingness of everyone to help each other.

What Arista core value appeals to you the most? Why?

– Servant’s Heart. I am most comfortable and feel most lighthearted when I am helping others.

What fruit are you in the team?

– I am actually referred to as a ‘nut’ more often 🙂 However, I would say a lychee. Sometimes I am a bit rough on the outside but inside I am really sweet.

What TEAM means to you?

– Working together on a common goal by assisting and lifting each other up until the finish line is met as ONE.

What aspect of your personality adds the most value to the world?

– I have a heart for missions both locally and abroad.

Meet Rosa!

Senior Employee Advocate at ARISTA

What do you like most about Arista?

– The passion, genuine nature, servant’s heart and ability to truly care about our clients and our Arista family is what makes me the proudest to be a part of Arista. It is refreshing and irreplaceable to truly be able to wake up every morning and look forward to going to work because you know you are surrounded by people who care about you. I am thankful to have found a company that has my same values and that treats our clients the way they deserve to be treated.

What Arista core value appeals to you the most? Why?

– During my interview process when the term “Servant’s Heart” came up I knew that Arista “got it” and this was a place for me. I am thankful to my parents who installed in me at a very young age the value of service and putting other’s first. Throughout my life I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve my family and friends in many ways which has formed who I am today. I believe that “It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.” The fact that I have been able to find a career that allows me to utilize my Servant’s Heart and help others on a daily basis is a dream come true.

What fruit are you in the team?

– This was the most challenging question for me, but I would choose a banana because:

  • They grow and develop all year around which inspires me
  • They have a soft center which reminds me of my soft heart
  • They can be used in many different capacities which speaks to my ability to be versatile and perform well in various situations

What TEAM means to you?

– For clients to truly be put first this means a team of people must be joined as a whole and working together for the client’s best interest. I unfortunately have been in positions where the team atmosphere was lacking and thus I am eternally thankful to be able to find myself working with a team of people that sincerely represent and follow the core values of Arista. Our team unequivocally understands the people we serve and act with passion and integrity along the way! The energy and integrity that my team surrounds me with every day is invigorating.

If you could sit on a bench in a beautiful woods, who would you like sitting next to you on the bench and why?

– First anyone that knows me knows that I would move the bench to the ocean or an exotic place I have not yet travelled too. I would absolutely love to have my Mom sitting next to me because she is genuinely full of love and support that is contagious. I am blessed to have a mom that brings me joy and peace every time I am around her. There is no greater love than a mother’s love for her children!

Meet Natalia!

Marketing Specialist at ARISTA

What do you like most about Arista?

– Arista has the right values and the right people. I like working with professional, engaged and passionate people who strive to succeed and grow the company like I do.

What Arista core value appeals to you the most? Why?

– Inspiration!!! It awakens us to new possibilities by allowing us to transcend our ordinary experiences and limitations. I truly believe that inspiration has a major effect on important life outcomes.

What fruit are you in the team?

– “Occasionally stubborn pineapple” 😉

What TEAM means to you?

– A puzzle… BeYoutiful small pieces that make the big picture.

If you were a color, what color would you be and why?

– Gloss – I work with every color without changing them, only making them brighter!

Meet Amy!

Client Relationship Associate at ARISTA

What do you like most about Arista?

– The thing I like most about Arista is that the Company puts People first. And it is a fun place to work.

What Arista core value appeals to you the most? Why?

– The Core value that appeals to me the most is: Servant’s Heart. This core value matches the mission statement for my life, putting others before myself.

What fruit are you in the team?

– Cherry. Creative, happiest when socializing… enjoys putting the “extra on top” for customer satisfaction.

What TEAM means to you?

– Different people with different skills and strengths coming together for a common goal. A team has no components more important than the other but requires everyone to do their part well. Doing what is best and working together no matter the cost to achieve the common goal.

If you were to create a slogan for your life, what would it be?

– It is no coincidence that this is the question I drew as my individual question. About 10 years ago I did create a slogan for my life… it is one simple word JOY.  It is a way for me to remind myself of what is important and what my priorities should be: J – Jesus, O – Others, Y – Yourself.

Meet Jack!

LPL Financial Planner at ARISTA

What do you like most about Arista?

– It’s hard to pick just one thing but if I had to sum it up in a word: Values. I love that we have such a healthy, open and flexible workplace. I love how the firm embraces the idea that placing the employees first ultimately results in the employees placing the clients above all else.

What Arista core value appeals to you the most? Why?

– I would have to say Servant’s Heart. As I’ve grown older I’ve realized that those I admire the most are those who place others above themselves. I recently read an article about Chik-Fil-A founder, Truett Cathy entitled “Living Life in Third Place” where they described how he put God first, everyone else second, and himself third. That defines a servant’s heart. While I don’t think I’m naturally this way, it is a great ideal to continually strive for. What a wonderful compliment it would be for someone to say that you have servant’s heart.

What fruit are you in the team?

– Hmmmm. That’s a tough one. Actually, I answered all the other questions and came back to this one last because it stumped me. They say an apple day keeps the doctor away, meaning it keeps you healthy. Well my job is to keep people in good health, financially speaking. So I guess I’m an apple 🙂

What TEAM means to you?

– Community comes to mind. A quick Google definition search came up with: a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. That’s how I feel with the Arista team.

If you were a city, which one would you choose to be and why?

– Definitely Austin, Texas, because it’s the live music capital of the world and they have a Formula 1 race track there. Earlier in life I was a drummer and a race driver so both music and racing define me in many ways.

Meet Travis!

Principal at ARISTA

What do you like most about Arista?

– Our PEOPLE. Truly great organizations differentiate themselves by the character and quality of their team.

What Arista core value appeals to you the most? Why?

– This won’t come as much of a surprise by people that know me… responsiveness. Why? It is a core value that each of us can fully control regardless of our skills, abilities or knowledge. Determine how responsive others need you to be, be proactive when you can’t respond on time, understand how internal teammates and external partners and clients like to communicate (text, email, work phone, cell phone).

What fruit are you in the team?

– This is a fun question, and I wasn’t exactly sure how to answer it so I took to Google.  After taking a fun quiz about my personality, it says I’m a strawberry and that also happens to be my favorite fruit. It says I am outgoing and like to mingle with others, I have a lovable personality, I’m a happy person, and am honest with myself and others. I think that’s pretty accurate. I guess the true test is to ask my wife 🙂

What TEAM means to you?

– I mentioned earlier that truly great organizations differentiate themselves by the character and quality of their team. I believe Andrew Carnegie said it best, “teamwork is the ability to work together towards a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.”

If you could meet any historical figure, who would you choose and why?

– Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. An inspiring and selfless man who faced incredible adversity. He stayed true to his core values and beliefs for the equality of others.

Meet Susan!

Director of First Impressions at ARISTA

What do you like most about Arista?

– I love working in a positive environment where everyone truly cares about each other! David Hatter, ARISTA’s founder and President is a remarkably caring person and he sets the tone for our company.

What Arista core value appeals to you the most? Why?

– I would say “Servant’s Heart” because I think that is truly why we are on this earth to serve God and each other.

What fruit are you in the team?

– This is a funny question. I guess I would say I am the “fruit basket” that holds the “fruit” together by making sure that everyone has all of the supplies and resources they need to do their job well.

What TEAM means to you?

– To me, TEAM means sticking together and helping each other out whenever possible!

If you could live anywhere on this planet and take everything that you love with you, where would you choose to live?

– I thought about this for a long time… I would actually stay right where I am. God has blessed me with everything I need! I have a loving family, an amazing group of friends and a great job! God has provided and I trust He knows exactly where I should be. However, I wouldn’t turn down an all-inclusive tropical vacation every once in a while 😉
